Quick answers

01 / Quick answer

Can I reject analytics?

Yes. Analytics is on by default only for visitors in the United States and Japan, and off by default everywhere else. Marketing is off by default everywhere. A saved choice always overrides the default and can be changed in preferences.

02 / Quick answer

Will my cart still work?

Yes, when necessary site storage remains available in your browser.

03 / Quick answer

Can I change my mind?

Use the preference button below at any time.

Pinterest advertising measurement

The Pinterest tag runs only after you explicitly consent to marketing cookies; it is off by default and stops when GPC is active. To measure advertising, Pinterest receives public pages you visit, product IDs you view or successfully add to your cart, and product IDs, quantities, USD value, and order ID for paid purchases. We do not intentionally send customer contact information. Withdraw consent in Cookie Settings.

Meta advertising measurement

After you allow marketing, Meta may receive page, product, cart and checkout events. The Meta Pixel may use advertising cookies such as _fbp and _fbc. Our server may also report paid orders with an order identifier, value, purchased items, browser identifiers, IP address, browser information and hashed contact and shipping details for advertising measurement. Hashing does not make this information anonymous. We use the order identifier to avoid counting the same purchase twice.

This reporting is off without marketing consent and is blocked by Global Privacy Control. Account, sign-in, order tracking and credential-bearing URLs are excluded from browser advertising events. Changing your choice stops future browser reporting; a paid-order report uses the marketing choice recorded at checkout.

What are cookies and local storage?

Cookies are small pieces of information stored by a browser and sent with relevant web requests. Local storage keeps data on your device without sending it with every request. We use both to run the store and remember choices. Third-party payment pages may set their own cookies under their own policies.

04 / Cookies

Which storage is necessary?

Sign-in and security cookies support authenticated accounts. Browser storage keeps a guest cart, saved local preferences and your cookie choice. These functions can be essential to the service you request, so the consent panel does not offer a switch for them. If you block all site storage in your browser, account and cart functions may stop working.

The stored cookie decision uses the key hakamapant_cookie_consent in local storage. Authentication cookie names can vary by environment and secure connection.

Which choices are optional?

Analytics: when analytics is on and a measurement ID is configured, Google Analytics can receive page and shopping events and use analytics storage. This helps us understand how visitors use the site.

Marketing: this choice controls advertising storage and personalization consent signals for configured Google services. It is separate from newsletter signup. When configured, Meta advertising measurement follows the separate controls described on this page.

06 / Cookies

What happens before I choose?

Every page first sets all of Google's consent signals to denied, before the Google tag is loaded. If you have not saved a choice, the site then asks our server for the country that our hosting provider (Vercel) associates with your connection, and sets a default from it:

  • United States and Japan: analytics is on by default. You can switch it off in the preference panel at any time.
  • All other countries, including the EU/EEA, the UK and Switzerland, and whenever the country cannot be determined: analytics stays off until you allow it.
  • Marketing stays off by default in every country.

The country is used only to pick this default. It is not saved in your browser and is not stored as a choice you made. A choice you save, accepting or rejecting, always overrides the regional default, in every country. The site does not send its own page or commerce events to Google Analytics while analytics is off.

How do I change my choice?

Open the preference panel below at any time. A changed decision affects future optional measurement. You can remove existing cookies through your browser settings. Clearing site data also removes the saved choice, so the site may ask you again.

Disabling optional categories does not prevent you from browsing the store. Browser extensions and privacy settings can also restrict third-party tracking.
